Signs of the Times

I went to the doctor's yesterday for a check-up on my recent vascular surgery. Since y'all are not dying to hear about my aches and pains, I thought you might like the notices on the doctor's door.
One said --- "Unattended children will be captured and used for medical experiments."
But, my favorite said, "Unattended children will be given an espresso and a free puppy!"
Then, while driving home, we went past a car-wash with this sign prominently displayed, "Don't try this at home! We're professionals!"
I love it that the world is managing to keep a sense of humor.

Kacey.
How are you feeling now? Getting better?
Those signs tell me that people do not appreciate rowdy kids...and yes I'm glad to see that people have a sense of humour. Couldn't manage life without one.
Wishing you and your family a lovely Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for.

Sorry but it's hard to keep in good humor after another heart-breaking loss to your stupid buckeyes. Something like this brings out the "Michigan-haters" around me, of which my boss is one. He spent a good ten minutes gloating over me when I came to work this week. I wanted to clock him one (and I wasn't the only one).

Hope your Thanksgiving is a good one. We'll be watching our Lions. Maybe they'll do better.

My fantasy football team is doing very well. That IS keeping me in a good humor.

Hi Kacey,

I'm still trying to figure out whether the espresso or the puppy would be the greater motivator.

I'm checking in on my online friends after too long away. I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday season. Thanks for sharing the chuckles.

My favorite sign, which I saw in an auto repair shop:

Labor rate, $50/hr
If you watch, $60/hr
If you want to help, $70/hr

Cheers!
Andrew

Dear Kacey,

I'm so glad that your sense of humor is as strong as ever! That helps with your healing, I'm certain. In fact, it helps all of us with everything!

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Hugs,
Betty
