What is a BILLION?
How many zeros in a billion?
This is too true to be funny. The next time you hear a politician use the Word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the politicians' spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,But one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of it's releases.
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were Living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes,
at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain...
let's take a look at New Orleans ...

We just returned from a relaxing trip and now I've got a headache! It is all too mind boggling.
Politicians talk about Billions of dollars like it was candy....that's B I L L I O N!!!! It is totally mind bogaling. I can't believe that the senate passed that bill to hand over $ 700 billion dollars to Wall Street banks. Who will get the next "Bailout", the big car dealerships, etc.? When will the stop spending the tax payers money? Now you got me started....

Yep, and there will be more and more taxes. It will continue to go up so government can function. Bwahahahahaha. Government doesn't function very well at all. Have a great day. :)
Kacey, this one made me think. Politicians is exactly what is wrong with this country. I am right now reading the book titled "Bush at War" OMG you talk about throwing our money around, you should read this book. I did not know until I read this that we pay off, in cash, the enemy's that we don't want to fight. You would not believe the millions and millions of dollars we entrust to our politicians. If everyone really knew how our money was being spent they would never say one more word about the single American mother who gets 200.00 a month in food stamps.
