The Big Bail Out!

"Bail Em Out!??? Heck, back in 1990, the Government seized the Mustang Ranch Brothel in Nevada for tax evasion and, as required by law, tried to run it. They failed and it closed. Now, we are trusting the economy of our country, our banking system, our insurance companies, the automobile industry and whatever other thing they decide to grab to the same nit-wits, who couldn't make money running a whore house and selling whiskey! Wake up America....we are in terrible trouble and getting in deeper each day!"

You know they say you get what you pay for. How come we pay so much to the government and get so little in return?

These events are the most disturbing in our history. That is a great analogy Kacey and too true.

Of course, the counter point is the Resolution Trust Corporation, which seized failed S&L's held the assets for a few years while the market for them was dead (hence, they were essentially valueless), and then sold them later for huge profits.

Love you! Just being ornery.

The problem we had these last few years wasn't too much government intervention but rather too little due to the complete deregulation of default swaps under the Commodity Futures Modernization Act (Republican Congress-approved, President Clinton-signed).

Yep, it's mighty scary. Your observation is funny, but very scary.

Sigh....

I was just reading this to my husband and he said "unfortunately, they are not nitwits, they're fascists, and it's all by design".
