American Soldiers Do More Than Shoot

John Gebhardt in Iraq

John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head...but they failed to kill her. She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing.
He is a real Star of the war, and represents what America is trying to do.
This, my friends, is worth sharing. You'll never see things like this in the news. The American public needs to see pictures like this and needs to realize that what we're doing over there is making a difference. Even if it is just one little girl at a time.

Kacey, thank you for sharing this most beautiful picture. we Americans have our bad days and hard times, but this little, tiny girl has already seen several lifetimes of horror. God bless this soldier, his compassion and most definitely this brave child.

If it were only that easy to heal the world by comforting a small child. Unfortunately, there will always be enemies so heartless that they would kill the innocent. Their hate knows no boundaries.

John Gebhardt: American hero and decent compassionate human being....but I HAVE seen photos before of our guys making a difference in small [but huge!] ways like this. The tragedy of any war is that innocent children are the ones who suffer.

You never hear the stories of the good our soldiers perform. They are true peace keepers and amazingly many do not see that.

A blogger named "KAZUMI" came over here to leave some hateful comments, but that blog is a closed blog. So, I could not go back there and see what sort of writings that blogger does. Apparently, he/she does not have the courage of their convictions.
I cannot allow people to spew disparaging comments about this country, while I have a grandson flying over the middle-east to help the American cause in this war. Our military is indeed admirable.
